This tab runs on Android operating system Nougat, released in Aug. 2016. The other 10.1" Insignia runs on Android operating system Marshmallow, released in October, 2015. The most current version of the Android os is Oreo, released in Aug. 2017. So basically for $10 more you get a more recent version of Android. I don't know about this tablet, but the $69 tablet can't update its operating system, so basically you're locked into Marshmallow. As I said, I don't know if this tablet can update its os, but I'd guess not.
