- Answer I'll try to help based on using this tablet, but I'm no expert just a consumer like you. system updates allowed/available ? A: It comes with the latest Android Nougat and 'appears' to be OS upgradeable, however all Android h/w stops being upgradeable due to h/w support at some point. can I run window programs on this? A: Not unless the app makes has an Android version. Microsoft Office is available, Word, Excel, Outlook etc and they all work well. Can I use a wifi printer from this? A: Only if your WiFi printer has an Android plugin available. I can print to my Brother WiFi printer with this tablet. use usb port to download/upload programs ? A: Yes

- Answer Its a WiFi tablet not cell so it uses your home or any other wifi that you join. Having said that I have a T-Mobile iPhone and I can use this tablet with the T-Mobile/iPhone Personal Hotspot WiFi feature. Hope that helps.

- Answer This tab runs on Android operating system Nougat, released in Aug. 2016. The other 10.1" Insignia runs on Android operating system Marshmallow, released in October, 2015. The most current version of the Android os is Oreo, released in Aug. 2017. So basically for $10 more you get a more recent version of Android. I don't know about this tablet, but the $69 tablet can't update its operating system, so basically you're locked into Marshmallow. As I said, I don't know if this tablet can update its os, but I'd guess not.
