“When using the AV chord to watch one dvd simultaneously there is a constant crackling sound in the background. I’ve switched monitors making each one the source and both times the crackling sound comes from the mirroring unit. Both work fine individually.”

I had this issue & messing with the cords & making sure they are inserted all the way in or switching each end between the two made the crackle sound go away.
