Check to be sure the compartment is pushed all the way in. If you're using a surge protector to plug into sometimes one outlet can go bad. Try switching it to another one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure the basket that holds the remains is seated tightly. The shredder does have a sensor so it doesn't turn on until you place paper in the shredder slot.
