I purchased this for my home office and as a preventative measure against someone stealing my personal information from old documents that i needed to purge. This particular model also shreds cd's and credit cards and although i was a bit skeptical of it's ability to do that effectively, it does it really well. I've not been disappointed, it shreds everything!! The pieces are very small and the bin makes it easy to dump into a trash bag. I don't worry about someone piecing my information back together, they would be lucky to find anything to match in the small shreds that are left behind. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Best Buy does it again. You can't go wrong with an insignia product. This microcut shredder does what it was designed for. It might be a bit expensive but you can't put a price on piece of mind. All paper going in is pretty much destroyed. To add it's never overheated on me. Then again it's used at home not an office. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

great buy, and working very well. it did get a little hot after 40mins of use. but I had a lot of paper the first time over 200 count.

A week in and I am I'm glad I made this purchase. The heavy duty shredder I have been using for years burned out and I bought this as a replacement. And it is absolutely up to the task. I would recommend this product for sure.

Looks great in my office space and does what it is required to do, shred. It is not bulky and does not take up a lot of space.

This Insignia 10 sheet micro cut shredder works better than I had anticipated. I love the way it shreds the paper into such small pieces that no one would be able to put back together.

This Insignia document shredded is powerful But yet quiet and not overly priced, it's a welcomed addition to my home/office space.

I had a pile of paper to be shredded ! As soon as I got home I put the wheels on my shredded, plugged it in and begin shredding. Non stop for 15 minutes, then picked back up a half an hour later for another 20 minutes. Done. Alec helped me pick this one out, thank you . Feels good having all that safely gone.

Really like frig but was dented at the right upper door. Going to keep item waiting for 24 hour to see how cold it gets. Watch out for dents!

This shredder is amazing. I'm going to compare it to my other shredder so you can get an understanding of how good it is. My other was similar to this one and I got it from Amazon. It looked the same as this one but this one is slightly bigger. The top of my old shredder came off to empty the basket. In this one, the basket comes out from the front which makes it easier to empty. My other shedder was loud but I was surprised how quiet this one was. This one also has wheels and my other one didn't. Now the bad things about this one. Sometimes the shredder makes a loud annoying squeaking noise when it is being used. If you use it continuously for about 45 minutes, it will overheat and you have to unplug it and leave it for 50 minutes. I have a bag of papers I have to shred and having to stop every 45 minutes to let the thing cool down for 50 is very irritating. Other than that, I haven't found any other issues with this shedder.

This shredder replaced two older ones that we wore out. One was a strip style and the other was a standard crosscut. Bought this one on sale and we couldn’t be happier. Our son does our shredding and is always asking for things to put through it. Have shredded CD’s and credit cards with no problems and the micro crosscut pieces are like confetti, so the paper bin can hold quite a bit. Has not overheated for us yet, even after about 20 - 25 minutes of constant use. It’s real quiet compared to both of our last shredders and the paper bin is easy to remove, empty, and reinstall. The wheels on it make it easy to move as well, even on carpet.

I upgraded to this shredder from a ten year old shredder with the same shredding functionalities. My old shredder was heavy with no wheels, and made a mess every time I had to empty it because shredded paper would litter the floor when I lifted the shredding compartment off the waste basket compartment. But my old shredder did a good job for ten years until one day it jammed and I pulled a metal gear that was causing the jam out of it. In the last couple of years, I fell behind on maintenance and did not oil the shredder as often as needed. So, I was fairly certain user error killed it. When shopping for a new shredder, I was looking for the same things: cross-cut, 10 pages, credit card/cd/staple capable, and a brand I trusted. I love this new shredder because it shreds effortlessly, is slightly quieter than my old one, moves from one room to another easily with its wheels, and has a mess free pull out waste basket. I use the shredder to shred junk mail, documents with personal information, package labels with my name and address (always between sheets of regular paper to reduce the chances of the adhesive jamming the blades), old credit cards and insurance cards, and CDs. If I'm shredding heavy/thick paper or cardstock, I only shred up to 5 pages at a time depending on thicknezz. I oil the blades after every 15 minutes of use by drizzling vegetable oil on a sheet of paper, sandwiching that between two sheets of non-oiled paper and running it through the shredder. I use my shredder about twice a week and oil it every other week. Everything has been working great. Of course, I've only owned this one for a short time compared to my first shredder. I will update if it breaks or stops working sooner than expected.

Got this to help dispose of some old paperwork and it shreds nicely. Worked well for CDs, plastic cards, and even floppy discs (once you pry the plastic shell open; only shred the floppy inside part using the paper shredder slot since it's too thin to be recognized by the CD shredder slot). It can get a little jammed if you try too thick of a stack of paper, and overheats if you don't empty the bin once it's full, but it's easy to get to work again once you use the reverse function, empty the bin, or let it rest and cool down. The wheels are handy for moving it with ease. It's good for the price.

This shredder can shred about 8 pages at a time, not 10, but at that amount never jamed even once for me. However, it only runs for maybe 5-7 minutes before overheating and then has to sit for 30-45min and cool off before you can use it again. So this would work great for small amounts of shredding spaced out, and shreds into very small pieces great for security. The bucket is easy to empty, and the smaller size would be nice under a desk. However, this shredder is not for high volume shredding.

This shredder is great. It's an upgrade from an older shredder I had. It's not as loud as the older version and I love the safety features that it has and the wheels. I am able to move it around my home office flawlessly. As far as the size of the box, it's a personal shredder so you do have to change it out frequently. But, it's not a bother for me as it is bigger than my last. I would recommend this for a home.

I needed a small paper shredder and didn't want to spend a whole lot of money. For the price, this has held up very well. I would say I have used it lightly to moderately, and it does a good job. I kind of doubt that it can handle 10 sheets at a time, but I normally feed it about 5 pages at once and it handles it well. It's a little slow, and I've had a couple of jams. However, it does what I need it to do and is easy to clear jams and clean. Definitely not a good purchase for an office, but it's reliable for most homes.
