• I was presently surprised that this is not too loud. My last one was extremely loud so I was very happy with this new Insignia.

• It is much less than my previous shredder. It is not quiet, but neither is it deafening or irritating. I do not have a decibel meter. I am happy with the level.

• It is moderately quiet. It makes the familiar whirring sound of any shredder, but is muffled despite being so powerful.
