- Answer The freezer uses its own brand app "Insignia Connect" available on Playstore. However after November 6, 2019 it will no longer available.

QuestionCan anyone tell me if the door switch (to tell if the door is open) is magnetic, or electro-mechanical, and if the second, can it be taped over for a short period (i.e. 24 hours)

- Answer This freezer has a typical "plunger" style door sensor that can be taped down, so it will work for Shabbos if that is your concern.

QuestionIs the display on the front, when in wifi mode, suppose to indicate the current temperature inside the freezer or the temperature that the freezer is set at? Is the display suppose to be lit at all times or only after you tap the lock symbol for 3 sec?

- Answer The front display showed the temp it was set to. It seemed to fluctuate between -10 and 0 after connecting with the app for some reason. Display is not lit all the time. I exchanged this one with Frigidaire Model: FFFU14F2QW, SKU: 9880215 beause of the strong chemical smell this unit was emitting in my basement.
