A:Answer If you mean a USB-A to USB-C adapter, then yes. I do that myself. I'm even plugging the adapter into a USB hub. Not even directly into the computer.
HOWEVER, you also need to make sure the adapter and computer port (and hub if used) are at least USB 3.0 or later. The adapter I'm using is USB 3.1, but the hub is only USB 3.0. The combo is working fine for me. I've played around with AirCar on Steam a lot for testing, and I've done limited Half-Life: Alyx under Steam. (Limited only because that 10+ year old computer isn't powerful enough for Half-Life: Alyx so I'm in the process of bringing up a new computer.)
One note: Sometimes it's necessary when just starting a new session using the Oculus to get the computer to re-recognize the Oculus by basically unplugging the Oculus USB cable, pausing, then plugging it back in. I've found it's best to unplug the USBC cable from the USBA to USBC adapter. For some reason unplugging the USBA to USBC adapter from the computer/hub doesn't always cause Win10 to recognize it was unplugged and plugged back in. Unplugging the USBC cable from the adapter has been pretty reliable.
