Well.....If there is no power to energize the unit it will shut off as it needs power to run. As long as the unit stays closed and isn’t over filled it should seal properly when closed and retain the cold. We had a planned power outage for 8 hours to upgrade services and ours is in the garage. Not only did the app on my phone notify me of the outage when the freezer lost power it told me when it kicked back on again and the internal temp. When power kicked back on there was no temperature change in the freezer as it was kept closed the entire time. I think you’ll be fine as long as you don’t open it for extended periods of time with no power.
