I really love that this can be either a refrigerator or a freezer depending on your setting. I was looking for a counter depth refrigerator for my kitchen and discovered these. I'm doing a kitchen remodel so I bought two because I can make room for them in my configuration. I have one set to refrigerator and one set to freezer. This has been working very well, the storage is excellent and without a lot of extra stuff in the way like a bulky ice maker or water dispenser. Also buying both was cheaper than buying most normal refrigerators. I bought the medium and the large sizes. It's worth knowing that on the large one you still get four shelves with two drawers. Obviously there's more space for each shelf but they don't add a fifth. This review is for the large which I am using as a freezer. Since there are no dividers aside from the bottom drawers I bought trees to organize my stuff. See picture. The shelves themselves are 17 in deep by 26 in wide. I had the hardest time finding that when I was buying online so I figured I'd pass this on. The only slightly annoying thing is the fridge beeps every time you open it, I'd imagine this is useful if you had kids or something. It also beeps over and over if you leave it open too long. This is annoying when you have to clean it but a good reminder if it didn't close all the way. Be aware the doors are not reversible because they have the temperature controls on them, so they are wired in I have really enjoyed this product, it was perfect for what I wanted

They two new stand up freeze are really cool. They are nice and big and have an enormous amount of space inside. I was curious how I would take advantage of this interior storage and was super excited to find out that milk crates easily fit on all of the shelves. Like old plastic milk crates. I was able to use up all the vertical space or each of the shelves. As a small regenerative grass-based meat farmer, I was able to store over 1000lb lbs of fresh pastured chicken in two of these freezers. There is also room to spare, like an open shelf and two open drawers. So I was also super surprised to have extra room. I am very happy with the purchase. The little LED touch screen goes to sleep, but the is a small blue light that I can see, easily by glancing at the freezers, as I walk by them in the garage, easily checked and making sure they have power. Also, I know it is not recommended to have two freezers plugged into the same outlet, much less the same circuit, much less GFCI outlets. Unfortunately, I have done all three, have both freezers plugged into the same GFCI outlet, and no problem. Freezers are super cold and have not tripped any breakers. One last thing I love about these freezers, the also function perfectly as a refrigerator. You can choose any temperature you want from -14 (negative fourteen) to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Pretty cool. Only gonna give 4 stars on value, cause corporations could charge less and still make plenty of money.

We purchased a PAIR of these for our gourmet kitchen when our fridge finally died after 15 years. We use one for the fridge and one for the freezer. Comparably sized setups from the boutique brands (e.g. Kitchen Aide) can cost upwards of $8,000! For about $1600 we have 42 cubic feet of refrigerated storage. Because of the extreme height of the 21 cf model, we did have to alter our cabinets a bit, but it was worth it for the extra capacity. The 17 cf model would have fit but they were sold out. In the end I'm glad we went with the larger 21. One note: per the owners manual, these units have unique requirements for distance from walls. These units require additional space - not sure why. It's probably overkill, but to be safe I installed cooling/circulation fans at the rear/base of the units that draws in cool air and exhausts out the base/bottom of the units. The noise is hardly noticeable and it's peace of mind that they won't be overheating. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the inability to swap the door opening from RH to LH. This is a very common feature that is not available on these units.

This is a first impressions review. It's only been running for 2 weeks. Size is awesome but the shelves are too far apart (~13 inches). If you stack the items that high, everything falls/slides out unless you're stacking something like frozen pizzas. Meat, bags of vegetables, etc. will all come out on your toes. I had to use plastic storage bins, 2 to a shelf, to organize everything and utilize the full capacity of the freezer. My door won't close itself unless I adjust the front feet down a ridiculous amount. It's normal to tilt a freezer or fridge back a little bit (usually unnoticeable without a level) just so the door will swing close on its own. But this one had to be tilted so far back to make it swing close that it looked like the leaning tower of Pisa. I decided not to go with the Tower of Pisa look. As you can see from the photo, that door won't close on it's own.

It has some great cu footage, like the lighting, great to have an upright to get to things easily. Had a deep chest freezer before this that I enjoyed, however the drawback is you have to dig down to get to things. When you do that, things get missed and expire. Just cleared out a family members chest freezer that we had to throw away old food that was forgotten. With this upright, I feel like you arent missing anything and you can get to it easily on nice clear shelves. Our recommendation is to use boxes to set your stuff in so you can pullout your food without anything falling out, and so that you can fill each shelf to the top. It also fits perfectly into a bumpout downstairs and saves space overall compared to a large chest freezer. One thing is, the door has some mighty magnets. Before we loaded it down with food and weight, it could actually pull the fridge forward. After you fill it up it opens and shuts with a great seal and wont budge. Highly recommend going with an upright this size. Also like the door shelves for little things like icecream etc. Recommend this freezer

A very large and roomy freezer. It is just what we wanted. It is big enough to hold everything we need or want. We buy meat in bulk. We had a chest and since I am very a short person I usually end up not being able to reach things in the chest so with this up right I can see everything and reach it very easy. As you can see from the pictures it is easy to organize and everything is easy to reach. We love this. It has a fast freeze so when we bring home a lot of meats we do not have to wait for ever for it to get frozen. I love the fact that it has a control on the front so you know that it is working properly. This freeze is way better than the one my parents had back in the 50’s. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a large efficient freezer. The only reason I gave a good on the ease of use was because the door is a little hard to open, but I know it must seal tight to be a good freezer. But, I have a little problem trying to open it without having to hold onto the side and put on the handle at to same time.

Great product. We live in Miami and needed a garage fridge and freezer that could function despite the heat. These have preformed very well. Love that the freezer is a stand up. We had a chest freezer and it was a pain rotating the food at the bottom. With this freezer you see everything right in front of you. Tons of room too. Only drawback is that you can choose which way door opens. We bought a pair and they both have handle on left (instead of next to each other, as you would typically have with a fridge/freezer pair)

We absolutely love this freezer! We replaced a small chest freezer and this upright is a game changer. We also love the fact that it will convert between refrigerator and freezer as needed. We have it in our garage and it keeps our food much colder than any other freezer I’ve ever owned. So happy with it, we ordered another for my home baking business. Now, our 14-year-old refrigerator freezer has died in the garage. We will be replacing it with our third insignia and use it as a full refrigerator.

Easy setup, very quiet. Door shuts very tight. It's been doing great in my garage without climate control. Others say the glass shelves are a bad idea. I have a half beef coming in a month, hopefully they can handle the weight. They seem sturdy so far.

We understand your concern about the glass shelves. They are designed to be sturdy, but it's always good to be cautious with heavier items. I’m currently using this in freezer mode to store my breast milk. It’s very cold and freezes extremely well. Plenty of room inside. Once I’m done with my milk I will use it as a fridge. It has a light inside that illuminates so I can easily see. Overall this is a great freezer/fridge. My only complaint is how difficult it is to open. I try yanking it open by the handle but that just causes the entire freezer to move out of place. So I started separating the door seal with my fingers and prying it open. But now my fingers are getting sore. So my husband wedged a puddy knife in between the door seal and I use that as leverage to open it. I wouldn’t recommend it for a senior or someone with arthritis. But it gets the job done and works very well.

So far I'm glad we chose this unit. We managed to fit a whole beef in this unit. Was very pleased to have space to separate the different cuts. Shelves are sturdy and plenty of space in the door. This unit is sleek with a modern design style with the the control panel on the front. You can easily check the temperature, change the temperature, change the settings to refrigerator and it locks the settings so they can't be easily changed.

I really like this freezer. Common Ground Producers and Growers distribute produce to underserved communities and are preparing to build a larger walk-in cooler on the farm. This fridge/freezer combination works for small items until the new cooler project is completed, and it was a good price. The unit is also garage-ready. The only thing missing is a lock on the door.

We bought this to use as a freezer, though it has the ability to be either freezer or refrigerator. In the many months we have had it, it has been perfect.
