A:AnswerDirecTV should have a box that you have to run through first, the connection to the TV from their box should be as simple as connecting the HDMI to the HDMI in port and selecting HDMI 1 from the fire TV menu. You cannot connect the DirecTV coax directly to the cable in, as the signal needs to be decided by their hardware first
A:AnswerNo. Unlike Nvidia shield tv boxes, you can not add extra storage to any fire TV box as the modified android clone they use does not recognize it as storage but rather a USB drive for pictures etc.
A:AnswerIt should, the back is solid. Although the only problem you may run into with the vibration is the unit us poorly designed and you may shake one of the ribbon cables inside loose.
A:AnswerNo. Like any fire OS, any remote for any fire TV box will work as they all use the same registration frequency. I have even found that some random android box remotes that I have used can control it and turn it on and off.
A:AnswerYou don't. This TV does not allow extra storage. I would recommend buying an Nvidia shield and adding a 2TB drive to that if you need extra storage for apps etc. That's what I did and it works flawlessly. Just buy the 16g version of Nvidia shield as you will never use internal memory if you add an external SSD.
