“How do i "clean the gunk" or fabric softener build-up in the softerner cup holder... ??? I tried to pull excess water with towel using my fingers to find a release hole. I do see some fine slats and tried to wipe them but to no avail.”

Hello, thank for your interest in our washer. To answer your inquiry, to remove laundry product residue, wipe with a damp cloth and towel dry. Also, you can remove the detergent and softener compartments to clean them. Deneb M.- Insignia Support.
