“My washer is new and my fabric softener dispenser is always filled with water. I pour softener in the dispenser and select the “fabric softener” button before the load. I do not smell fabric softener on my clothes after the wash. What’s the problem?”

After reading some reviews, it appears to be a common problem for the fabric softener dispenser to clog up. I use a Downey Ball to avoid this. You can try pouring hot water into the dispenser to, over time, clear it out.
