Yes, it does not, because there are few types of outlets; three and four prongs. If you are replacing your electrical dryer you should look which one you have; take a picture of it. If you don’t then you should remove it from the old dryer or buy the one that complies with the latest electrical code. You can have an electrician to install both; outlet and the cord. If you want to buy it yourself, go to the near Best Buy, Home Depot or electrical store, show them a picture you took. They will sell you the cord. I, unfortunately got rid of my old electrical dryer before realizing that I should remove the cord first, so I had to buy it in Best Buy store.
