Q: QuestionIn the specs it clearly says "heat pump"! Pretty sure 2 weeks ago it said "condenser" and it says that in the Q&A. Is this a new model as of this week with heat pump instead of condenser?

Q: QuestionWhat is the length and size of the drain hose (ID/OD) included with this unit? Manual does not specify. And is there a u-bracket included also, or other method to secure hose into drain pipe?

• A:Answer Rubber Drain hose is 1/2" ID which is pre-attached from the pump to the upper reservoir and ~3' long. Includes an additional ~40" hose to extend in into a drain, which also reduces it to 1/4". Replaced the entire length to 1/2" vinyl tubing. Neither the pump or reservoir fittings are barbed, nor are any clamps used. Pump is behind an access panel which is notched to help secure the hose in place. Installed a clamp on that connection anyway because THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE! These are little more than basic fountain pumps so not very powerful, another reason for the reducer if using the extension. And may not provide enough lift if drain pipe is too high. But omitting a 5¢ clamp is cheap and lazy. IGNORE the MFG response. They clearly don't even know the difference between a washer and dryer. @INSIGNIA STOP answering questions you don't know the answers to.
