I had a pair of very expensive Maytag washer and dryer that we paid probably about $3000 for the set. They lasted about three years and just barely 3 years. Unfortunately, we live in a pretty small town and there’s not many appliance stores and we have four teenage boys and then myself and my wife so six people a.k.a. a lot of laundry. Coincidentally the Maytag dryer quit heating and started to become almost uneven in the drum when it was rotating, so it would make a very loud clunking noise and almost within days of each other the washer started doing the exact same thing in terms of the clunking noise. Since it only really takes about two days before we have three loads of laundry to do, I made the executive decision to drive an hour to the closest Best Buy to purchase a new washer and dryer and when I got there since I have the Best Buy membership, they had a deal if you bought their insignia brand I believe it saved us like $200 or 150 for the pair. I can’t remember the exact price so in total we paid less than $800 for this washer and dryer set. And let me tell you best emergency purchase, we have made in terms of a major household appliance. All of the features that it has in the fact that you can set your preferred cycle to where you only have to hit the power button then hit my cycle and start so just click three button press in itself is great our $3000 set that we had before from Maytag didn’t even have that. In terms of the quality of washing the items, the washer does amazing and in terms of drying the items the dryer does amazing. Wow, we do have a lot of people in the house. My wife does a good job of taking care of things and she never overloads the washer. The dryer so that was not why our Maytag went out. She puts the same size loads in these insignias and they handle it completely fine. It does all the self balancing all that stuff and I’m genuinely very impressed with this set. I’m even more impressed with how quiet they are. I’ve never had a washer or dryer that is this quiet. Overall, an incredible product set that I would highly recommend to anybody. The set is a perfect example that paying the most amount of money doesn’t always translate to the best performance, experience or time-saving. It washes everything in less than an hour and it’s always clean. We never have to rewash unless of course we fall asleep at night and forget to put the clothes into the dryer but hey that’s user error right. I just can’t say enough how impressed we are with the set Best Buy really nailed it in terms of performance and value for the customer here. These things are constantly running because with four teenage boys, and then myself being an outdoors type of person we always have at least one more load to put in the washer. I would say on average we do about four loads a day between clothes, towels, and bedding and pillowcases, etc. Thank you, Best Buy for making such a great product that didn’t burn a hole in my wallet like the Maytag did.

I was surprised by how roomy this dryer is and it has a light inside! Been using the set for a month and am very happy with the set. Great set for a great price.

So far I like that it works good also I like that the light has a timer so it won't stay on if I forget to close the door back. It also is simple to understand and use.
