The 3.0 port has 10 times the data thru-put of 2.0, (625 MB/sec vs. 60 MB/sec). This is accomplished by using separate wire pairs for transmit and receive data where the 2.0 port uses only one set of wires for both functions. There are other architecture differences, but they are of little concern, as a 3.0 hub is backward compatible to 2.0. This means that if your computer only has a USB 2.0 connection a 3.0 hub will work perfectly with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Besides ability to use fast USB devices, the size is the same. The plug is typically blue signifying USB 3.0.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 2.0 transfers data at a peak of 480 Mbps (Megabits per second), while USB 3.0 transfers at 4.8 Gbps (GIGAbits per seconds), roughly 10 times faster. You must have a USB 3.0 port or interface card on your PC for full functionality. The USB 3.0 port typically has a blue plastic insert in the plug as opposed to the black insert in a USB 2.0 port. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are connecting usb 3.0 to usb 3.0 it transmits data faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 3.0 is the latest version of USB and it is much faster
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The reading right speed only 3.0 is a lot faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB3 supports much higher speed than USB2 (technically) and has green color instead white (wisually).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Speed is the main difference. USB 2.0 ports transfer up to 480 Mbps (Megabits per second), USB 3.0 ports transfer at 10 times faster, 4.8 Gbps (Giga bits per second). You have to have a 3.0 port on your computer and a 3.0 device to get that speed. It is compatible with 2.0 devices but will only transfer at USB 2.0 speeds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 3.0, the latest version of USB (Universal Serial Bus), provides better speed and more efficient power management than USB 2.0. USB 3.0 is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices; however, data transfer speeds are limited to USB 2.0 levels when these devices inter-operate. 10 times faster than USB 2.0. Super Speed or SS, 4.8 Gbps (Giga bits per second) Up to 1.1A. Allows better power efficiency with less power for idle states. Can power more devices from one hub.
