A:AnswerI haven't purchased this Insignia television yet, but I have had great experience with input lag on the Insignia televisions I have played on in the past. My brother owns the new 2015 48inch Insignia TV and it has no noticeable input lag. The motion blur is very good as well for a 60hz panel. Sorry that this information is probably not helpful. There is a site that I find quite helpful for input lag information and that's Input Lag Database (Google it). Rtings.com has input lag listed for every television they review but sadly they don't review Insignia TVs. The televisions that I have recommended below are very good gaming TVs, I calibrated these TVs for my friends that purchased them for gaming. They all have excellent backlight uniformity! I think backlight uniformity is the most important thing to look for when buying a new TV. Hope I helped you.
A:AnswerYou do not need a sound bar if you mount it against the wall and keep it that way. If you bull it away leaving space between the back of the TV and the wall then you WILL need a sound bar.
