Yes, of course. You can also do an extension cord, which is much less money. Extended cord attached directly to TV must match the connection "pin" setup, but a straight order from MFG would work. I have found that almost ALL U.S. attachments (t.v. side...not wall plug in side) are the same, so often computer power cords will work too. For my money just buy the extension cord!

I would advise you to use a good quality cord, the shortest possible length for your needs. If the cord has more than one plug, do not use them, only use if for your TV and make sure that you have access to both ends of the extension cord. Ideally, it is best to install a new plug closer to the TV. There are also kits sold that include everything you need for a DIY job. Try searching for "Legrand in wall kit"
