Very good so far.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Well it started off badly because UPS delivered it to my neighbour's door instead of mine (despite my explicit directions), but it eventually got to me, and I hooked it up, and it's all well and good so far. I specifically wanted a "dumb TV" (as opposed to a smart TV), and I wanted a bigger one, and 42" was the biggest I could find. It's replacing a still-working 32" Dynex (a former Best Buy brand) that I've passed on to friends who are still using a 1990s CRT! The only thing I don't like about this unit is the feet -- I wish they were closer to the center. Other than that I have never had bad luck with a Best Buy purchase--something I hope will continue.

Great tv
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Great purchase. Don’t need 4K if all I’m gonna be doing is watching tv on rabbit ears. Also bought a roku stick to plug into it. Even Hulu live is streamed with 1080p, so not missing out on any 4K there either.

Great TV!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. We've had this TV for 6+ months and it's worked really great! The size and quality of the screen made it work really well with how we mounted up on the wall. Had zero issues with it so far.

Great tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Good quality tv & color. When you turn it on the voice says Comcast that is the tv provider I am with.when you turn on the tv you don't hear any volume because you have to push the up or down arrow button for sound.

Q: QuestionThank You ! Best Buy-Insignia for still offering "plain" tvs. I prefer to add on a ROKU for streaming. It makes troubleshooting easier. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Asked by BOZO.
- A:Answer OMG, YES!! We bought a smart TV and have roku on another. There is always something going on with the "smart" one. It turns off whenever it wants, some apps just refuse to play, its very glitchy and overall annoying!

Q: QuestionWhat is the distance between the feet? Current 40" HDTV sits on small table because it has a center pedestal type stand which I prefer, but looks like no longer exist on TVs selling nowadays. Wonder if current stand could somehow be attached to new TV.
Asked by thouston.
- A:Answer 38" between the outer point of the 2 feet. Wider than I thought it would be

Q: QuestionBEEN WORKING ON INSTALLING THE LEGS OR BASE FOR OVER TWO HOURS , I GIVE UP, NOT LINING UP.
Asked by RAM.
- A:Answer Had to laugh. We had the same issue! Put them on a slant or diaganol and they will pop in. The ,3 screw holes throws you off. When you put it in diagonally, it looks off but when you stand it up it actually is a good design for stability. It took my daughter and I quite some time to figure it out!!

Q: QuestionIs the insignia 43 in tv ready to plug in ? No set up required?
Asked by Lee.
- A:Answer Yes, we were up and running in about 5 mins. Only set up was in naming the other components that we plugged into it (DVR, Streaming, Off the Air etc.) so when you cycle through your inputs you know exactly what you are shifting to. It also has a voice assist which can speak the instructions on the screen or announce what channels you shift to that my wife found helpful

Q: Questionis this a smart tv?
Asked by Toni.
- A:Answer It's not what people consider a smart TV. I bought it for a spare room where I just needed regular cable TV to work. Not surf the web, not download apps. But there is HDMI ports for your fire stick or any other streaming device, such as Roku, as long as you have internet in your home.

Q: QuestionDo the speakers face the front or are they located on the back or bottom of the TV? Would I need a sound bar or is the sound quality decent? Thanks.
Asked by Mel.
- A:Answer The speakers are underneath. I use it for my bedroom without a sound bar. Its loud enough for me it goes up to 100
