A:AnswerWhen LED's go bad they can flutter or go out. That light shows that the unit is getting power. If you can hear it running then it is just a bad LED. I would just live with it if In were you.

The food shouldn't defrost really, but the walls of the freezer get warmer (not freezing) to break down the ice build up. If it's leaking, it might be a malfunction.
