“I'm not sure if the $70 Geek Squad protection is really necessary, but I read a few reviews about how the freezer suddenly stopped working causing all contents to spoil. Will the 1yr manufacturer warranty replace the freezer if this happens?? Thank you”

I haven't had any problems out of mine, I would just use the factory warranty, as low price they are you can get another one for what you would pay for the geek squad
