“We currently have a small refrigerator with bottom freezer in our garage and with recent extremely cold air the freezer section is not keeping things frozen. Does anyone know if this freezer put in a garage will still function correctly in cold weather.”

Yes it will. My friend has one in her garage and it works fine. I got one too but mines isn't in the garage.
