A:AnswerNot sure what you mean by ultrasonic. It’s a dehumidifier, not a purifier. It sounds like a window unit a/c because that’s essentially what it is.
A:AnswerI don’t think that the “continuous “ button means for the continuous drain….it means continuous fan. If you have a hose hooked up on the drain on the back of the unit, all collected water will go down that hose instead of in the collection bucket regardless of what fan setting you have selected. But yes if you select continuous fan (labeled “Cont.” on the unit) a small blue LED is supposed to light up….maybe your light is faulty.
A:AnswerYes, this has auto defrost. It turns on when the dehumidifier is in auto defrost mode. The fan
continues to run in this mode.

A:AnswerWater goes directly into the tank. However, you can attach a garden sized hose if you want the water to continuously drain in a sink or shower and bypass having to manually empty the unit.
A:AnswerIf it's a long hose, it will take time to fill, drop by drop. I initially had difficulty connecting my 25 foot hose to the plastic male fitting on the dehumidifier. The threads on the fitting were poorly formed and water would leak from the connection. I discovered that a plastic male/female adapter connected to the hose and to the dehumidifier allowed for a tighter fit that doesn't leak. Check to make sure the connection is not leaking and then raise and lower the hose to see if water runs out.
A:AnswerBy my measurements, it is 24 inches high, 16 inches wide, and 12 or 13 inches deep depending on whether or not you install the storage cord wrap on the back of the unit. It would be deeper in measurement if you plan on using a hose for continuous draining mode since the hose hookup is on the back of the unit near the center. Since you plan on using this in a crawl space also be aware the exhaust venting is on the left side and like an air conditioner it puts out quite a bit of heat from that exhaust vent. I hope you find this information helpful.
A:AnswerNo that’s not normal. It is not good for any unit dehumidifier air conditioner to cycling on and off like that prematurely will age the motor..
A:AnswerThe loudest part of the dehumidifier is the fan. On the normal setting I would way the fan is comparable to both my oscillating fan and box fan on low. On the turbo setting it is definitely way louder and more comparable to my other fans on high. When the compressor is kicked on there is a slight hum of the compressor but it is barely noticeable in my opinion.
A:AnswerI don’t think so. The manual stated it will blow hot air when it is processing which makes sense. It intakes humid air, and as it is removing humidity, the byproduct is hot but not humid air. But only when it is actively removing humidity. It does not bother me.
A:AnswerHi, thank you for your question. Yes, the Insignia™ 50‑Pint Dehumidifier includes a washable filter, so you can remove it, clean it, and reinstall it to keep the unit running efficiently. Thank you for choosing Insignia. Sudeep | Insignia
