I don’t think so. The manual stated it will blow hot air when it is processing which makes sense. It intakes humid air, and as it is removing humidity, the byproduct is hot but not humid air. But only when it is actively removing humidity. It does not bother me.

The heat you're speaking of could also be where the unit it located, is it in a tight space, against a wall or out in open space? Have you double checked the filter to make sure it's clean? The air could also be getting filtered quicker than you're old one. Not sure.
