Each floor will need one because the machine does not work central vacuum and it does not have suction force strong enough for all 3 floors.

It would need access to each floor to create a draw. an open door from each level would do. I'd put it on the lower floor since hot air rises, and it would work best in my opinion.

In hot climate area, air conditioner will do the job except
Basement. Otherwise, there is something wrong to cause
The high humidity.

I would guess you would almost need 1 on each floor. My dehumidifier is in my basement and does almost nothing the main floor of my house and both the basement and the main floor are only about 2200sq ft.
