All speakers work best with the largest gauge wire possible, 18 being the "standard". See my review on this product. While it will work fine for any speaker that you can attach manually, it is over priced in my opinion & in fact by searching it out. So be it Bose or any other brand, if it takes separate wire, use 18 gauge braided speaker wire of any brand & you'll be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Speaker wire is dependent on the length of the run to the speaker and the quality of the sound you want from the speakers. You can spend thousands of dollars on exotic speaker wires for a little definition in the sound. The manual states that up to 20 ft an 18 gauge wire is fine with 16 and 14 gauge for longer runs. I would buy the lower gauge and put connectors on the ends for general use and if you are not a critical listener then the 18 gauge is probably just fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a pair of Bose 301 series 1 and used the cheap insegnia 18 gauge wire. Works great. But of course my speakers are old and aren't going to sound super great because I have better speaker wire. The only reason you might want to go out and get great speaker wire is if you are running it a really long distance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.14 gauge is good but if you want to get a higher gauge that's fine also.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.18 gauge always works for me.

For example: 22 gauge wire can be used for the following ohms/distances: 2 ohms/3 feet; 4 ohms/6 feet; 8 ohms/12 feet 10 gauge wire can be used for the following ohms/distances: 2 ohms/50 feet; 4 ohms/100 feet; 8 ohms/200 feet Keep in mind that there are seven different gauges of speaker wire so the above is only an example. Although it should be noted that speaker wire runs more than 50 feet should be avoided even if the cable size is adequate, as the longer the runs over 50 feet will greatly diminish the quality/fidelity of sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not matter as long as you stay consistent. One wire will have a white stripe the other will not. Positive to positive through with the white wire or red connector to red red connector with the white striped wire is my suggestion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Aside from the fact that you shouldn't listen to Bose speakers...ever, the best gauge speaker wire for most solutions is 16AWG. I would consider the AudioQuest speaker wire in the Magnolia section.
