- Answer Okay, I read all of your responses, but I have a problem. I had some old Bose double cube speakers that connected to the Accoustimass with an "RCA" type jack. I cut the jack off and had ordinary speak wires. The problem is that both are copper in color and their isn't any identifying marks on the cover to tell me which one is positive and which is negative. I tried to connect each one individually to my new Yamaha receiver so I could try and hear any difference when I wired them one way and then switched them the other way but did not hear any discernable difference. Can someone comment?

QuestionI had wires run for my livingroom speakers during my reno. They obviously stapled thru the negative on the right channel speaker wire. It is very costly to run new wire. Can I use the ground from the left channel speaker. Other options if the answer is no

- Answer Either can be positive or negative. Just make sure to do all speakers the same as to not get confused on what you chose was your positive. I used the white wire as positive.

QuestionCan this wire be cut to use for multiple speakers? Or is it intended to only connect one speaker to the receiver? 50' is much longer than I need, but I'd rather not buy multiple spools of wire if it can be cut to the desired length.

- Answer All speakers work best with the largest gauge wire possible, 18 being the "standard". See my review on this product. While it will work fine for any speaker that you can attach manually, it is over priced in my opinion & in fact by searching it out. So be it Bose or any other brand, if it takes separate wire, use 18 gauge braided speaker wire of any brand & you'll be fine.

- Answer This means you need to be consistent when wiring the positive and negative sides of the speaker and amp. Most wires have a white line on the positive side and some have gold and silver wires to designate positive and negative. I use the white line or the gold side for positive and the other for negative.
