Got mine 10/2023 and it died 9/2025. 50”. Interestingly the 40” I got for my mother in 2020 is still going strong. Maybe the larger ones have the issue. Will not order another Insignia.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought my 55" insignia tv at best buy in March of 2011. Its not a smart tv.. just regular basic LCD 55" flatscreen.. it is now almost August 2025.. no priblems whatsoever. No lost color or brightness. Still very sharp picture. No lost pixels... works great. Makes me think the ones with bad reviews either A) Dont take care of their stuff. B) Have kids that dont take care of their stuff. Or C) Work for and/or are affiliated with a rival company and put bad reviews for competitors products in hopes of benefitting their products sales. That happens wat more than people would think and is pretty sad... Nothing at all wrong with insignia brand. Every bit as good as a Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Etc..Etc..Etc...Fact. ask someone you actually KNOW and TRUST who may own one and then youll know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine lasted only 2 and a half years and then the screen died. You pay for what you get. For shame, Insignia and best buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Less than 2 years based on my experience. Stay far far away from Insignia brand!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Life expectancy of Insignia: ours have not "aged out" yet! I've had my 42" for 8 years, plasma set, works perfectly still! My wife had Insignia about 9-10 years old, w/a DVD player, works perfectly, but of course the DVD player failed in 3-4 years (don't EVER buy a tv w/DVD built-in; "any device built to do 2 things, does neither one very well, and one will fail before the other".... old engineering axiom). We put 3 Insignias into our ski condo in Park City UT, 4 years; all working when we sold it this Fall; 32" & 32" & 39". I'm buying this 55" asap, I trust these things! Wish I could get another plasma set, picture is as good as any 1080. .... Engineer w/Westinghouse for 23 years.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I really wanted to say it was a negative number since I have yet to get one home in working condition. I suspect it is less than 2 years at best though based on the initial quality, or lack thereof.
