“When watching sports, the screen has a flash on it that looks like someone in the stands is taking a flash picture. At first that's what I thought it was but it happens over and over about every 10 seconds. Any ideas on how to fix this?”

Most likely you are having a pixel failure. If your tv is still under the warranty period i would take it back and exchange it.
