“I want to buy a sony tv that is not a smart one. What do I need to set it up. I am not using cable. Are there any special connectors I need to plug into the wall”

If you aren't using cable or satellite. Then, the only cable to your wall should be the power cable. You will need an HDMI cable if you plan on hooking up a bluray. But that would only go from the bluray player to the tv. Not the wall.

What is your signal source? Do you need an HDMI or other cable to connect? I would also get a surge protector.

I have an older Sony. The TV itself has several HDMI ports, two sets of Composite plugs, two sets of Component plugs and RCA sound jacks.
