No. You have to be wired for 220 and have access to dryer venting. Your regular household current is 110. This is either a 3 or 4 pronged 220 (usually 3-pronged, but the deliverymen will bring out hookups for both). Actually Single Phase Service today in homes is 120 & 240, while some are rated at 125 & 250. That's a little confusing to some homeowners, so electricians just let it slide when customers refer to their 110 & 220. No need causing more confusion...lol I'm a retired Avionics Technician & Methods Engineer.
