“If I purchase the essential pkg including power cord and vent kit; can I expect that no matter what power cord I currently use/have with my existing dryer that this will work with the new dryer. and that I will have a working dryer when the tech leaves?”

I purchased the essential pkg. But it ended up my stuff I had on old dryer worked just fine. So they reimbursed me for the essential pkg. And yes I would say you will have a working dryer. Mine does. And the two gentlemen that installed it where very good at their job.
