• Optical output port from your TV/device of choice to your optical input to your stereo. Some TV/devices require setup through a menu interface to use optical, but most should work right-away.

• You need the "Optical" cable. I am not an audiophile so I cannot tell you if it improves audio or not but I have one and it does work.

• Unfortunately this device does not support Digital Optical.
