It's most common usage is to connect multiple AV/RCA devices to modern TV's which have only 1 AV/RCA INPUT built-in. It basically turns one input, into three. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as your tape player outputs are RCA, it should work. It allows you to connect 3 different inputs and then choose from those and only uses one set of RCA inputs on the receiver.
