• In Egypt, there is a cheap alternative. You can buy an single adaptor American plug to Egypt standards for less that $5 each locally for your electronics only.

• No need for a converter. You're covered provided equipment is compatible with 110/240V input. I used this to charge my cellphone and tablet in Uganda. All are o.k.
