Hello, thank you for the question. The alarm on the Insignia Digital AM/FM Dual Alarm Clock with 4-Level Dimmer is designed to turn off automatically after sounding for a period of time if no button is pressed. It will not continue beeping indefinitely. The alarm will then reset and be ready for the next scheduled alarm time. Poojitha | Insignia
