This alarm clock is a great buy. It has a dim switch on the time so you can have the time dimmed at night for better sleeping.. the clock is small enough to sit on nightstand by the bed. The alarm will awaken you but the bright digital light can be dimmed to your desire.

This clock has been great. I bought for the bedroom because waking up frequently I have a habit of picking up the cellphone and checking the time and that leads to phone screen keeping me up and being on social media. Now I can glance and the green light and avoid my phone for a better sleep. I like how it came with a set of double AA batteries for the backup in the event of power outage. I had a hard time finding this kind of clock until BestBuy. Highly recommend but I don’t use for radio or alarm currently

Great clock, just what I wanted to tell time at night when I'm sleeping. I'm still trying to figure out how to use all the controls as it's a little complicated and I'm not to good at all the new contraptions.

So easy to use and a great way to go to wake up at the times you need to sometimes more than once a day without setting the alarm back and forth and so much bigger than the old one easier to use

Great alarm clock and radio. Connects to radio stations without a hitch. Alarm clock can be set for either the standard "alarm clock noise" or for your chosen radio sation to begin playing at your designated alarm time. Very happy with my purchase here.

I like that you can set the dimmer to low and high.

This Insignia Alarm/Clock brought me back to my teenage years. The size, the numbers on the display and switches perfectly resemblance the old fashion digital clock era. I like the fact that the designers choose the green color. In the past it used to be red or blue or even white but green is less painful if you are half asleep and want to see the time at night, plus the 4 level dimmer that you can adjust. I like the premise which is promoting, to keep away from your phone while going bed to get rest. We have become so dependent of the cell phones, constantly checking the messages, emails, reading the news, that at least one function that we can still isolate is this clock, the alarm function which will for sure give some peace of mind. I don’t know if it is because I have had this kind of Alarm/Clock in the past, but the operation and setup was extremely easy. I didn’t need to look for the user manual to set up the time, alarm, or to preset the radio stations. It has FM and AM radio selector switch, and you can preset up to 20 stations. On the outside it is a good looking radio/clock. It’s very light weight with big display numbers. Operationally speaking, it has 2 alarms that can be set. The alarm sound can be set either for standard buzz alarm or radio source. To turn the radio on or off just press the volume dial and adjust the volume level. The Tune +/-buttons will work for 2 different functions, while you set the clock time, or by selecting the radio stations. You can set up the timer from 90min to 60, 45, 30 or 15 using the sleep button. There is also the Snooze/Dimmer button to mute for 10min. You can snooze as many times within the hour of the time the alarm was set. To turn off the alarm just keep the button pressed. It has one speaker, enough to accomplish its main purpose which is to perform as a Clock/Alarm, so don’t expect stereo or HD sound. It also comes with 2 AAA batt only to keep the settings saved in case of a power outage. You will need to keep the power connected in order to make it work. I have placed it on my nightstand, and plan to keep my cell phone away while getting ready to go to sleep. If you are looking for an Alarm/Clock to keep you less dependable of your cell phone, this is a very affordable good looking clock/radio that does exactly what it was design to do, give time and alarm.

I suppose that the days of the traditional “clock radio” are past, but I still prefer a simple device that can wake me with a music or news station, and this little gem fits the bill. It’s small and light but could be said to be “as big as it needs to be.” The display is certainly large enough, and its brightness can be adjusted to show up well in the daytime and dim to where it’s not distracting at night. Unpacking it led to a surprise in that it comes with two AAA batteries that provide backup in the event of a power failure. Another welcome surprise is that it comes with printed instructions that are clear and concise, and I had no trouble understanding how it works and was able to easily set it up properly. Instead of plugging directly into a wall socket, it comes with a power brick that plugs in and there is a thin wire leading to the connector that’s inserted to power it up. Using a thin wire lets them make it longer than the typical power cord, so locating it at a distance from the nearest outlet might be possible. The radio is tuned by selecting the AM or FM band and using the +/- buttons to move up and down in frequency. Holding the button down lets it scan for the next station. At any time, you can use a button to add the current station to a list of presets. Preset stations can then be recalled by pressing the same button; this is a feature not common on a radio at this price point. Radio reception appears to be pretty good. I like to wake to a local AM news station and my old clock radio really had trouble tuning it in and staying locked on; so far, this one has been much better. The sound is also good for a device this size, although definitely not in audiophile territory. The alarm features are what you might expect. Two separate alarms can be set, each with a choice of waking to an alarm buzz or the radio, as well as the volume level, and of course there’s a snooze button. Overall, this product is a good bargain for what you get!

This alarm clock radio has a nice collection of features (multiple alarms, snooze button, four brightness settings, AM/FM radio with station presets, battery backup) and is very inexpensive. It was easy to set up. We're using it for a clock in our media room, and it's great not to have to use our phone or some other device if we want to know what time it is. After 24 hours the clock is still exactly 1 second ahead of network time per time.gov, so it appears to keep time pretty accurately. The display and radio do not function when the AC adapter is not connected, the batteries are used only to maintain time and other settings. The radio works well, although there is lots of mid range with very little treble or bass response. This comes as no great surprise at this price point. It would be nice if it were possible to control display brightness with day and night settings and related times. The evening brightness setting we prefer is a little dim in the daytime, but it is still easy to read so this isn't a big problem. Considering the price, this product generally meets and even exceeds expectations. It looks nice, it is very unobtrusive where we have it situated, and we're very happy with it.

I needed a clock that’s clearly visible in the dark during the nights and this is perfect for that. It has the right size, not too big or bulky at the same time comfortably visible even when half asleep. The green LED is perfect to see at night (the blue one sometimes causes distortion). There are 4 levels of brightness to choose from. Nice choice to offer for everyone’s personal choice. I like it at level 3 brightness. It’s made of plastic but doesn’t feel cheap. Doesn’t look rich either. Its pretty light weight. 2 different alarms can be set at a time. This also has a snooze function to doze off for another 10 minutes before the next alarm and we can keep snoozing for an hour before the alarm finally gives up on waking you. And there are 2 different alarm sounds – one is the regular buzz and the other can be set to a radio station. Speaking of radio station, this supports both AM and FM radio channels with 20 preset stations can be stored. Do not expect a great sound quality, that’s not the purpose of this clock. It’s just an addon feature with a mono speaker. This has 2 AAA batteries (included) for time backup but the display wont show until this is plugged in. Pretty easy to program the time and set the alarm. I would recommend placing the batteries first before programming the time. Overall, this is a neat little value for money digital alarm clock that exactly serves its purpose.

I finally found something that isn’t connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi! I love simple and straightforward electronics, and this Insignia Alarm Clock fits that description perfectly. The setup out of the box is incredibly easy, and the instructions are simple to follow. The size of the alarm clock is great and very visible at night. There are four dimmer settings, which is perfect for people who have trouble sleeping with any light on. You can set up two alarms at once, and each can wake you up to your favorite radio station or an old-school alarm sound. I particularly love the radio function because it reminds me of my childhood when I'd fall asleep listening to oldies on the radio, it's just awesome! Sometimes, the simple things in life are all you really need. There’s also a sleep option, which turns the clock off after a predetermined amount of time that you choose. The power cord is long enough to place the clock anywhere, and the antenna cable is also extended, providing better reception. Where I live, it works well, and all my favorite stations come in clearly with no static. The speaker is located on the back of the clock, and in my opinion, it sounds great. Another excellent feature is the battery backup, which ensures you won’t lose your saved settings if it gets unplugged accidentally. Keep in mind that this alarm clock only functions with a power cord; the backup batteries are solely for preserving time and settings. Overall, this is a fantastic product that works really well!

I just love my new clock. It's like a gift received on Christmas Day! Not only is it a Clock; it is a Clock Radio with special alarms that go off as specified as needed when I want it to go off. This Clock Radio has good quality in sound and the music comes out loud and clear. First of all the price is great. The radio size is perfect. It's also extremely lightweight, weighs less than my alarm only clock. Setting the Clock Radio is a breeze. I am able to set the Time for everyday, Monday thru Friday and even on Saturday and Sunday. Reception is very good. It picks up both AM and FM receptions well. It's got a digital tuner which is great. My regular radio is fuzzy with the FM station I usually listen to so I tend to listen when i'm driving instead but this works perfectly well. It even picks up the Spanish AM station which my car finds hard to get a good reception to. The buttons seem fine to me. I took this right out of the box and figured most of the stuff out. The time is set, I've figured out how to do the presets for the station. I really haven't set the alarm yet because I've taken time off work. It takes very little space on my book-occupied nightstand. This Clock Radio is also Readable; gives Perfect Timing with Buttons just right to push; and most of all it's light weight and just the right size fit for my nightstand. Most of all, I just love the Performance of this Clock Radio with it is Perfect: Timing; Alarming; Great Sounding Radio; and Lighted Numerals. I'm glad that I didn't have to wait until Christmas to find this Bright Light Clock Radio!!! All in all, if you’re looking for a basic clock radio, at a very reasonable cost, I’d recommend this unit. This Clock Radio would make a great gift for any occasion.

This was an unplanned purchase to use an issued gift certificate. I wanted a new alarm clock since my other one had features that no longer worked. Content with my purchase. Like that I can set dual alarms. There are several dimmer options which is more than helpful, since the brightest will light up a room at night which is not good for sleeping. It has an option to wake up to radio but I've chosen to set the standard alarm. Speaking of the alarm, it has the ability to numerically set the volume. When the alarm sounds, it will start out low and work it's way up to the volume number you set it at until you turn off or hit snooze. The 10 minute snooze also option comes in handy.

This is a good alarm clock radio. PROs: ===== 1. Large-digit digital time (with a dot that lights to indicate PM, instead of the default AM) that is easy to see and read in the dark (and can be easily brightened/dimmed). 2. 2 alarms with buzzer/radio-wake-up settings that can be independently set. Easy to set alarm attributes, easy to turn on and off alarms, and alarm settings are saved via the battery backup. 3. FM and AM radios wth DIGITAL tuners (not analog -- yay!), with analog volume dial control. 4. Inexpensive: it's only $20 (as of my purchase), which is not a lot -- and so I was not expecting a lot (and thus feel I received good value for my money). CONs: ===== A. It seems to pick up interference from my smart phone if I lay it nearby. This was a problem with my previous alarm clock radio, and one I was hoping to solve with this new one. At least the interference is not as constant (or loud), and very intermittent (so it doesn't prevent me from falling asleep) .... DID NOT TRY: ============ * Sleep function. * Snooze function.

I like this. Numbers are easy to read and there are 4 different brightness for the numbers. Radio speaker is not great but it is what you would expect.

Nice unit, does everything well and the price was great! Like the dimming levels, two AAA battery back up, easy to set and use.

Works great, the right size for our needs. Easy to set up and easy to set the alarm. The radio has great range and sound.
