This is designed only for support of a TV. Weight being a factor. Attaching a shelf to it would be problematic. It would be better to install a separate shelf with its own wall supports and attachments IMO.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because the tv attaches with clips on the top, the bottom portion of your tv may swing a little if not attached correctly. Assuming you set the position of your wall mount and don’t move it around, don’t see why it wouldn’t. Make sure to check your clearance above your dvr.
