“Can I use this to do dual Monitors, my laptop has HMDI and the Monitor has VGA. Will it work? I am using a windows 8.”

• Don't know about Windows 8. It works with Windows 10.

• Yes, this should work. I have the same setup. The adapter I am using is an Insignia™ - HDMI-to-VGA Adapter. I connected it to my VGA cable, and inserted the USB into my laptop. It works great every time. I have had it for several months now. After you connect it, go through Windows to set up your dual monitor. Then Right-click anywhere on the Desktop and select Screen Resolution to open the Screen Resolution window. Click the drop-down menu for Multiple displays, select one of the configurations, then click Apply.

• Use the internal screen and an external VGA monitor. Works great - no issues.
