• Yes its has an audio port that can be used for the audio, but if only connecting the VGA, then you will only get video, no sound.

• This adapter will only transmit video as that is all VGA is capable of.

• VGA doesn't carry audio, hence the adaptor wouldn't know where to get audio from.
