• If you plug into a VGA port (15 pin) yes. If you are plugging into a serial port (9 pin) no.

• yes but you may need to use a micro usb power cable to boost the signal.

• Yes. This has female HDMI so a standard HDMI cable will go from your laptop to this adapter and then to the VGA.
