• Yes, if your phone has micro hdmi. This is a micro hdmi to full size hdmi adapter. Many Sony cameras have micro hdmi.

• Each phone is different and this question is impossible to answer without knowing the exact model of cell phone. You have to research that particular model. Easiest way is to look for a second female hole next to the charger hole. See picture below.
