“This device works fine with our Samsung Smart TV and an older Panasonic receiver/theater system...the only problem is that the power must be unplugged and plugged back in each time I turn on the TV and receiver. Wondering if there is a fix for this issue?”

When you unplug it, it will reset to normal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Buy a controlled outlet Powerstrip. In my case, mine has 1 controller, 5 controlled, 2 uncontrolled. Plug the TV into the controller outlet. Plug the converter into one of the controlled (switched) outlets. When you turn off the TV, out goes the converter. When you turn on the TV, on goes the converter. A word of warning. DO NOT plug in anything that you DO NOT want to go out with the TV - such as your receiver. AND, Cable boxes - if you have one - must never be powered down like that either.
