“I have a Sylvania DVD/VHS player. Our TV is VISIO with only HDMI or componenet connection, I can use the DVD but the VHS will not play. No port for the red/yellow /white cables. WIll this work?”

This converter does not transfer video, it only changes digital audio to analog audio. So, no.

In July 2018 we bought a new Sony XBR49x900F 49" 4K TV. After receiving I discovered it did not have the red/yellow/white analog input ports for our VCR unit. We still have a collection of VHS tapes and DVDs and regularly record antenna broadcast TV shows. We don't have cable or dish. This Insignia analog-digital converter has a HDMI output port for plugging into the new TV. It works great.
