• If your TV has an optical out, probably. You'll need to set the TV to output only stereo LPCM (WAV).

• Yes, it should work to convert the TVs light signal to standard audio electric suitable for an hifi audio amp Don’t forget to pull off the tiny plastic caps on the cables and terminals of the converter.
