No, there is no provision for a headphone jack. This device will take a digital output from a source (TV, cable/SAT converter box, etc.) and convert to an analog signal (RCA jacks) to an amplifier/receiver which should have a headphone jack. If you have a newer amplifier with digital audio inputs you do not need this device.

Frankly, I'm surprised your new Samsung does not have a dedicated headphone output. These are rather common and are marked by a symbol resembling a headphone. Many features the small size headphone input plug and if you have the larger size (1/4 inch) plug all you should need to connect the phones is a plug converter, with the large slot for your headphones to input and the smaller male plug for insertion into the TVs headphone link. To utilize the Insignia Digital to Analog Converter you'll likely have to connect an optical Toslink cable from your TV audio output into the Insignia, and then run an RCA cord (the common two cord, one red end and one white end connector) from the Insignia into your headphone amp or receiver. The headphones will then connect to the amp or receiver, and you should have headphone sound. But check for that headphone connector on the back panel of the television first.
