• 3 months to 6 if you have to i went 6 but surface cleaned the outside and wiped out the machine every month

• Depends on the air quality in the home we used during some construction in the house and was still able to use it for about 8 months. I did have to vacuum it once while waiting for new one to come in.

• It really depends on your household. Do you have pets, children, deal with environmental allergies or have a sensitive smeller? Those things can impact how often you need to replace. I vacuum mine regularly and i believe that helps. I replaced mine when I noticed the food odors were lingering longer.
