The sound on a regular flat screen comes from speakers on the back of the TV, which make it hard for the sound to reach your ears sometimes. The sound from a sound bar comes straight at you, so the sound waves don't have to bounce off of anything before they reach your ears.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My TV has the speakers in the back. The sound bar not only amplifies the sound it directs it, because the speakers are facing you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device takes unamplified sound signals from the audio outputs of your TV, and amplifies them separately from the volume controls of the TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(I realize this was answered months ago but it still might help some) Consider it like this: if you play music from your iPhone or Galaxy or other smartphone, the sound coming out of the phone is really low end. Now, connect your earbuds and put them into your ears, the sound now gets the full effect from the phone. Sometimes, it's the device putting out the sound not having enough power and other times it's the output device itself (your tv's speakers). A sound bar that is decent will amplify the incoming power and keep it free from distortion. Use optical out if possible from your TV provided the sound bar has that input available.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.tv speakers face away from you twoards the back wall a sound bar points the speakers twoards you plus they have more power so much sound and better quality
