A:Answer If you intend to use this soundbar with an Apple TV connected via optical cable, I would choose a different product. I don't have one to test, but this soundbar can only decode PCM, and your Apple TV I believe will force more complex tracks, like Dolby Digital surround, via bitstream. Basically, some things might work, like Pandora, but you may hear nothing but silence on Netflix or iTunes movies, for instance. Apple products aren't very flexible or customizable when it comes to things like this, and you're welcome to google it, but I'm not sure there is a way to change this setting. I suggest a higher-end soundbar with a built in Dolby/DTS decoder or a home theater receiver for this application. Alternatively though, if you have an analog RCA or headphone output on your TV, you can connect the Apple TV via HDMI to the TV, and then connect your analog out to the soundbar, then the TV will transcode everything and you shouldn't have any issues.
